The FCS-8 Control Surface is a compact USB controller designed for the most demanding productions, thanks to its aluminium and PA-12 nylon chassis. It has 8 channels with trims (with end stops) on rotary potentiometers, dust-proof faders and PFLs.
The interface has dedicated commands for record, stop, slate mic and a shortcut for arming and disarming individual tracks. PFL and Arm status for all tracks, Rec/Stop, and Slate mic status are displayed using LEDs on the front panel of the controller.
It also offers a rotary master fader, that can be mapped to any bus or output of the 8-Series Mixer-Recorder, and 5 custom buttons that can be assigned to various functions including Com Send/Returns, Circle/false take, or assigning faders to buses or outs.
The 8 channels of the FCS-8 make it particularly suited for bag use with the 833, on productions where the equipment must remain light and durable. The FCS-8 uses the MIDI MCU protocol, and is compatible with most DAWs for studio use.
The Finger 8 is available in two versions, tailored to the fader resistance preferred by the operator to best suit his or her preferences and working conditions:
- SOFT version: Smooth faders designed for responsiveness and speed
- FIRM version: Faders with resistance for precise, fine-tuned control
Additionally, the design of our control surface allows users to easily replace the faders, whether for new ones or to customise their setup.
True to our values, the FINGER 8 has been designed to be easily repairable and its components replaceable to ensure an extended lifespan.
