Anubis Models:
SPS offers an additional network connection for either redundancy or to eliminate an external switch, while Anubis offers an EtherCon connector for extra connectivity reliability. Your choice of model depends on your usage profile. As with other Merging products, both versions are offered in Pro or Premium. If 192kHz is the limit for you, go for Pro. If you are into true Hi-Res Audio and work in DXD/384kHz or in DSD, you will need Premium.
Whichever flavour you choose, you get the same beautiful unibody case crafted from a single piece of aluminium with the same multi-touch display with all the same control possibilities. ONE OF A KIND – whatever the flavour
Merging’s 30 years of developments are all concentrated into the Anubis. This compact AD/DA is unique in its configurability to perform your mission without changing the hardware. Included is our new 32bit dual PreAmp topology, incredible headphone amps, D/A converters derived from our years of audiophile experience, all combined with a powerful low-latency mixing engine evolved from our 25 years of DAW design.
Uniquely Modular by Software, Anubis is truly ONE OF A KIND.
MISSIONS - MODULAR APPLICATIONS
From the initial recording through to the final master, there are specific ‘missions’ that require precision and control. MERGING+ANUBIS gives you complete control to choose the ‘mission’ application to accomplish each stage - effortlessly.
If your mission of the day is to create a great mix, you need to be in complete control of your monitoring: reference monitors, nearfields, headphones, sources, surround mix, downmix, etc., so you will be in the Monitor Mission. If your mission is to record the band or rehearse for the next gig, you will be in the Music Mission controlling the extraordinarily powerful ultra-low-latency mixer and feeding individual cue mixes to each musician. Anubis gives you that “Mission Control” in a single, compact device that has unrivalled capabilities defined by the software application. MERGING+ANUBIS allows the user to choose the Mission Controller app that fits the task. ONE OF A KIND
Music Mission
Imagine having a powerful fully-featured low-latency mixer that you can take anywhere. Imagine touch control of all your I/O connections and all your mixer functions. imagine feeding individual cue mixes to each band member. Imagine this being the front and back end of your favourite DAW. Imagine all this capability on stage with no DAW. Imagine this all happening with the quality of audio you never dreamed possible, whatever the sample rate. Add your other Merging I/O units and see your system instantly expand into a monster while retaining full control from Anubis. This is what being on the "network" really means. There is no need to dream; Music Mission can do this and so much more.
Monitor Mission
The concept of software based Missions allows for designing very versatile and highly dedicated applications, upgradeable in time, and precisely targeting the requirements of today's professionals. The Monitor Mission is the central node of all Music and Recording studios, its extreme sound quality fulfills the essential requirement of all Mastering studios. The large number of supported surround formats will please all Film and TV Post Studios and its AOIP standards support makes it the perfect choice for Broadcast studios, OB vans or Editing rooms. The Anubis compactness and robustness makes it the ideal choice for Location Recording and Live Events monitoring.
Commentary Unit Mission
The Commentary Unit Mission focuses on providing a very easy to use implementation of a broadcast commentary box, targeted at journalists commenting on all kinds of live On-Air events such as sport, e-sport, radio programs and more.
Once running the Mission, the unit offers monitoring and commentary features for one single or two commentators, with all necessary microphone, headphone and speakers connectivity, best in class mic preamp and headphone amp and AD/DA directly in the box.
While giving access to traditional analog I/O, the Commentary Unit Mission implementation also focuses on purely AOIP network audio integration, offering all required standards such as AES67, Ravenna, ST2110, ST2022-7, NMOS as well as full remote access for operation and configuration through a full featured Web Interface and a Web Socket REST API.
The Commentary Unit Mission user interface is entirely customisable to allow immediate usage of the unit when in live environments with minimal training for the simplest, mistake proof operation.
Venue Mission
New from merging Technologies comes Venue Mission, a feature-rich and highly versatile software, designed to transform the management of audio workflows through Anubis.
Packed with features, including a 16-channel mixer, Venue Mission delivers precise control over four monitors. Supporting up to 16 mono or stereo inputs and accommodating a wide range of sample rates, it seamlessly handles local analogue inputs and incoming audio over IP streams.
With Venue Mission users can show or hide mixer inputs on each monitor, adjust input delay from 1.4ms to 20ms and customise input names with colour-coded labels, providing a new level of control and personalisation - and as with all Anusbis missions, Venue Mission remains fully compatible with AES67.
Designed for multiple users, Venue Mission is the ideal choice for applications across a broad spectrum of scenarios, from orchestral live performances to complex band monitor setups, smaller bands operating without designated monitor engineers, orchestral studio recording sessions and even speaking booths or ADR studios.
Performers can enjoy direct access to their tailored monitoring mixes while microphone and instrument inputs can be shared across the network, enabling remote control and monitoring by the PA mixer or recording engineer.
Enhancing Anubis' extensive software range, Venue Mission addresses the key concerns of professional musicians and audio technicians, offering powerful audio management and an unparalleled level of control across the Anubis ecosystem through a user-friendly interface.
ANUBIS PLUGINS
Optional plugins for MERGING+ANUBIS
Anubis can host optional plugins developed by Merging, such as:
- Merging+De-esser
- Merging+ Blackhole
Merging has a reputation for getting it right when it comes to audio quality and we have years of experience. It would be surprising if Anubis was any less than the best we can achieve. Great sound is only part of the story, just look at the performance measurements.
