The V-Mic D3 Pro is everything you want in an on-camera microphone and some things you didn’t know you wanted. The +20dB step-less gain knob finally gives DSLR users a physical gain knob instead of having to dive through menus. It’s like having a audio mixer built into a microphone. The Auto-adjusting Smart 3.5mm TRRS output adapts to almost any type of 3.5mm TS, TRS, or TRRS microphone input you plug into it. This makes the V-Mic D3 Pro able to be plugged into DSLRs, point-and-shoot cameras, camcorders, action cameras, smart phones, and tablets. And with the D.XLR* the Deity V-Mic D3 Pro can be plugged into larger cameras or audio recorders that feature XLR audio inputs.
The included adjustable Rycote shock mount features an adjustable sliding cold-shoe.
This allows you to move the mount forward and backward in case you need to
accommodate the camera operator, other accessories, or need to help balance it on a
gimbal. The cold-shoe mount also features a 3/8” threaded mount and a 3/8” to 1/4”
bushing adapter so you can use it with a whole host of accessories already on the
market. The microphones single tubular design means you can treat it like you would
any other microphone.

Location Kit
Deity's partnership with Rycote also has allowed them to create a Location Kit bundle that will allow you to mount the V-Mic D3 Pro professionally to a boom pole. Unlike other brands whose on camera mics can’t really live outside of their own designed shock mount, the V-Mic D3 Pro can fit into most universal shock mounts on the market. The filmmaker’s Location Kit adds a Rycote InVision Mount featuring the Duo-Lyre on a pistol grip and a D-XLR (phantom power to 3-volts 3.5mm adapter).
