Audio-Technica combines exceptionally low-noise large-diaphragm condenser elements with a shotgun design for extremely tight polar patterns, perfect for long-range sound recordings. With a length of 56.8 cm, the directional BP28L shotgun microphones have been specially designed to meet the needs of broadcast, film, television, recording outdoors and theatre applications. Particularly suitable for long-distance sound recording in filmmaking or in theatre, the BP28L have a very low noise level (3 dB), and a transformer-coupled output results in a smooth sonic character. The microphone provide extremely high sensitivity (-23 dBV), wide dynamic range (135 dB) and high-SPL capability (138 dB). The patented acoustic port design maintains directionality across the entire frequency range.
