What's new compared to the previous LockitSlate?

• The same simple operation via 3 buttons as with the Lockit and NanoLockit
• New, mixed adaptive LED brightness mode: manually set the desired brightness, the display will dynamically adapt to changing light situations
• Improved resistance against humidity through lip sealing around LED display and approved 3 button design
• Improved energy efficiency due to modernised architecture optimised for NiMH chargeables

The ACN-LS timecode slate is a highly accurate smart-slate system featuring a unique product design and functionality. The completely revised LED timecode display features double the brightness at less than half of the power consumption of its predecessor. This allowed us to reduce the batteries to only 4 AA cells while still achieving prolonged battery life. Additionally, we equipped the new slate with light and motion sensors. Thus, the brightness can adjust automatically to the local light conditions, and the timecode display flips when the slate is turned upside down. The easy removable handle allows for perfect one-handed operation.

With it’s all-new and revolutionary modular construction, the electronic section of the Lockit Slate can also serve as a fully functional, compact standalone display for documentary or desktop use.

Housed in a machined, pearl-blasted and anodized aluminium body, it can easily withstand the roughest production conditions.

Never loose the timecode when changing batteries…

Thanks to the built-in supercapacitor, the ACN-LS is able to hold the highly accurate timecode for more than 10 minutes after loss of power.

Changing batteries no longer automatically means re-jamming the slate.

Transmit the clapped time directly to the script app

Furthermore, this new slate comprises clap time broadcast in addition to the same full functionality of the Tiny Lockit including ACN support with clap time broadcast. These network capabilities also allow the »Lockit Slate« to be a fully-functional, generator-buffered timecode transceiver. This provides the same stability of an Ambient Lockit generator that has the flexibility of a wireless TC system but without the fear of dropouts.

Use the Lockit Slate as Midi TC display and interface

The Lockit Slate offers a variable timecode offset to compensate for processing delays of digital cameras. Plugged in into a computer, the Lockit Slate transforms into a highly accurate midi timecode interface with LTC / midi timecode conversion and of course big TC LED display. This way the ACN-LS opens up the possibility to sync multiple cameras with a Pro Tools workstation.

Wooden clap sticks available

The Lockit Slate can be ordered or retro-fitted with clap sticks made of maple wood. Customized, or blanco slate boards are available on request. CAD prints of the slate board are available to allow for personal constructions.

Free-of-charge LockitScript App

The LockitScript app elegantly accommodates all the daily needs within the demanding role of a Script Supervisor. This comprehensive and time-saving tool helps fighting paperwork, duplicate listing and overtime after wrap.
