Since 2017, 4099 Instrument Mics have benefited from DPA’s CORE technology and now it’s time for CORE+. While CORE by DPA is a powerful technology that minimises distortion, CORE+ offers even more, taking the 4099 to the next level.
As can be seen from the illustration below, CORE+ pushes distortion down to an absolute minimum across the entire dynamic range. Yet beyond that, CORE+ also significantly extends the dynamic range. The 1% THD threshold has been pushed 10 dB higher, meaning the microphone maintains linearity across a much wider input range. Additionally, the clipping point of the 4099 has been increased by 3 dB, allowing it to handle even more extreme sound pressure levels without compromising sound quality.
