Big Bear Sound host Avid S3L training

Big Bear Sound recently hosted two training days with Avid, for their all-new S3L live mixing console system. Held at Dublin’s Windmill Lane Recording Studios, and with training by Chris Lambrechts, (Avid Live Sound Specialist), attendees were given hands-on training on the AVB / Ethernet-based system, with a dedicated console for each student. With four training sessions across two days, Chris demonstrated the many features and abilities of the system to the over 40 industry professionals in attendance.

Avid S3L – The revolutionary new S3L networked live sound mixing system.

The S3L delivers the sound quality, performance and features of Avid live audio systems in a compact, all-new modular networked design. It uses a HDX-powered mix engine running VENUE software and AAX plug-ins, with scalable remote I/O, a compact control surface and Pro Tools software. It’s compatible with Avid VENUE show files and offers 64 channels of direct recording/playback to Pro Tools (or other DAW) through a laptop Ethernet port.
